The E30 M3 was built as a homologation special for DTM and Group A touring car racing, which required 5,000 road cars. It was produced from March 1986 to June 1991. For aerodynamics the rear window was flattened, and the trunk lid was made of glass-reinforced plastic and raised by about 40 mm. Its windshield was glued in, unlike other E30s. This car is a 1988 M3 coupe with a manual gearbox.
