Toyota introduced the first-generation MR2 in June 1984 for the 1985 model year. It was engineered to take a 2-liter engine but kept a light body, with suspension and handling developed with help from Lotus. The 1.6-liter 4A cars carry the AW11 code. You're looking at a 1985 MR2 with a manual gearbox.
