The R360 was Mazda's first passenger car, a kei-class 2+2 coupe built from May 1960. To keep it light, it used an aluminium engine and aluminium and magnesium in the chassis, weighing 380 kg. A rear-mounted air-cooled 356 cc V-twin of 16 PS drove it through a four-speed manual or a two-speed automatic. Ours is a 1964 Mazda R360 coupe in blue and grey over a blue and grey interior.
