The Subaru 360 was the company's first mass-produced car, built from 1958 to 1971. Nicknamed the ladybug in Japan, it weighed 450 kg and used a monocoque body with a fiberglass roof panel and rear-hinged doors. Its air-cooled two-stroke 356 cc twin sits at the rear, and the fuel tank lid doubles as the measuring cup for premixing oil. The Deluxe arrived in 1961. Here we have a 1969 Subaru 360 Deluxe in cream over a red interior.
