For 1959 the Impala became its own series and shared bodyshells with lower-end Buicks, Oldsmobiles and Pontiacs, on a new X-frame chassis. The 1960 Impala brought back three round taillights on each side, with a white band along the rear fenders. This particular example is a 1960 Impala convertible in purple, built as a lowrider.
