From 1950 the Beetle could be ordered with an optional sunroof with a textile cover. Its one-piece oval rear window of March 1953 gave way to a larger rectangular window in 1958. Ours is a 1957 Volkswagen ragtop sunroof Deluxe sedan in green and grey over a red interior.
