Karmann built the Beetle convertible until the last one left the line in January 1980. In 1955 North American Beetles swapped their semaphore turn signals for flashing indicator lamps. The millionth Beetle was built that August. Ours is a 1955 Volkswagen Beetle cabriolet in grey over a blue interior.
