The first Nomad kept its roofline almost unchanged from the 1954 Motorama dream car. It was a two-door sport wagon trimmed like the Bel Air, and the Chevrolet counterpart of the Pontiac Safari. For 1955 a 265 cubic-inch V8 was standard. Ours is a 1955 Nomad in orange and white with a matching interior, with an automatic gearbox. It now runs a 350-horsepower engine, has low mileage and is in excellent condition.
