The Model A arrived as a 1928 model, offered in four standard colors, and hot rodders nicknamed it the A-bone. It replaced the Model T. The one we have is a 1928 Model A truck built as a hot rod, with its original steel Ford body on a custom frame. It runs a Ford 351 HO crate engine with a Holley carb, Hooker block-hugger headers and MagnaFlow mufflers, through a rebuilt C4 automatic with a shift kit and cooler and a Ford 8-inch rear end. Up front sits a 4-inch dropped axle with disc brakes, and it rolls on Wheel Vintiques smoothie wheels with caps and beauty rings. Inside are Auto Meter gauges, a chrome column shifter and a new tuck-and-roll interior with Ford logos. It has no windows, lap belts only and a top that comes off easily. It is fast and loud, and it has an ahooga horn.
