Chevrolet's lineup got its first postwar restyle for 1949, with the Deluxe as the new upper-end model. Through the early 1950s the Deluxe was Chevrolet's sales leader. For 1950 the grille lost its five teeth, and the Bel Air hardtop joined the Deluxe range. Power came from a 216 cubic-inch overhead-valve six. The one we have is a 1950 Chevrolet Deluxe sedan, lowered, with a manual gearbox.
