The whole front of the Isetta hinges outward for entry, and the steering wheel and instrument panel swing out with the door. BMW built it under license with its own single-cylinder four-stroke motorcycle engine, and a 1956 change to German licensing rules for cars under 250 cc led to the Isetta 300. This example is a BMW Isetta 300 in blue over a blue interior, with a manual gearbox.
