The fourth-generation Caprice arrived in April 1990 as a 1991 model, trading rectilinear lines for rounded, more aerodynamic sheet metal. Underneath, much of the chassis carried over from 1977. Anti-lock brakes became standard on all models. For 1993 the sedans lost their rear fender skirts, but the wagons kept skirted rear wheel wells. The one we have is a 1993 Caprice wagon, with an automatic gearbox.
