The Sentra launched in 1982 as the export name for the Nissan Sunny. For 1989 and 1990 its only engine was the 90-horsepower GA16i, a 12-valve SOHC four. The one we have is a 1989 Sentra two-door sedan in light metallic blue, a base model with a four-speed manual. It has a factory-spec replacement GA16i, with the suspension and front brakes recently overhauled. It rides on period-correct Sentra SE 14-inch alloys, and its added fog lights can be removed for filming.
