The SJ Cherokee was built from 1974 through 1983 as the sporty two-door version of the Jeep wagon, with a single fixed rear side window and an optional flip-out section. The term Sport Utility Vehicle first appeared in the 1974 Cherokee sales brochure. At launch the S was the top-of-the-line model. The one we have is a 1975 Jeep Cherokee S in blue over a blue interior.
