Pontiac had wanted a two-seat sports car based on its Banshee concept. GM feared it would cut into Corvette sales, so Pontiac got the F-body pony car instead. The first-generation Firebird came as a two-door hardtop or a convertible through 1969. For 1968 the 326 V8 gave way to a Pontiac 350, which actually displaced 354 cubic inches. You're looking at a 1968 Firebird convertible, with an automatic gearbox.
