The 2000GT was designed by Toyota with Yamaha, and built under contract by Yamaha from 1967 to 1970, with 351 made. Its 1,988 cc 3M straight six from the Crown gained a Yamaha DOHC head and three Mikuni-Solex carburetors for 148 bhp. Pop-up headlights sit above plexiglass-covered driving lamps, and the dash carries walnut or rosewood veneer from Yamaha's musical instrument woodworkers.
