Porsche created the 912 as a four-cylinder entry model based on the 911, worried the 911's price would cost it buyers. The 912 project number had first been used for a 12-cylinder boxer engine, and the car was known internally as the 902. It carries a 1.6-liter Type 616 flat-four. The one we have is a 1966 912 coupe in Sand Beige, with a manual gearbox.
