The Meyers Manx is a two-seat fiberglass dune buggy kit, built to fit the mechanicals and chassis of a Volkswagen Beetle with the engine left exposed. Its wheelbase is 14 and a quarter inches shorter than a Beetle. The name comes from the stubby, tailless Manx cat, the figure on its hood ornament. About 6,000 original kits were made. The one we have is a 1961 Meyers Manx in red over a black interior.
