The Datsun 220 series trucks of 1957 to 1961 were the first Datsun trucks exported to the United States, and they established Datsun in the American market. The improved 221 of October 1958 moved the front turn signals from atop the fenders to beside the grille to meet US rules. The 220 was also the first Datsun truck with a 12-volt electrical system. The one we have is a 1959 Datsun 221 pickup in red over a red interior.
