Its egg shape and bubble-like windows gave the Isetta and its rivals the name bubble car. The whole front swings outward for entry, taking the steering wheel and instrument panel with it. After a 1956 change to German vehicle rules, BMW built the Isetta 300, with output up to 13 PS. This example is a 1956 BMW Isetta 300 bubble-window convertible in yellow over a tan interior.
