The first-generation F-Series, known as the Bonus-Built trucks, arrived in 1948 to replace Ford's car-based pickups. It was sold in eight weight ratings, from pickups to school-bus chassis. The one we have is a 1948 Ford F-1 pickup in red with flames, with an automatic gearbox.
