The Series 65 was Cadillac's second mid-priced entry when it appeared in 1937, built on the larger C-body and placed slightly above the LaSalle. For 1938 it shared a new front end with the Series 75, with a massive vertical cellular grille, three sets of horizontal hood bars and an alligator hood. It uses a 346 cu in monobloc V8.
