The Bristol Lodekka was built low: a drop-centre rear axle let the lower deck sit close to the road, so the bus could keep a normal upstairs layout without the side gangway older low-height double-deckers needed. Bristol built more than 5,000 of them between 1953 and 1968. This one is an open-top double-decker.
