The C8 is the first rear mid-engine Corvette, breaking from the front mid-engine layout used since 1953. It was also GM's first rear mid-engine sports car since the Pontiac Fiero. The switch moved the passenger cell forward by 16.5 inches. The cockpit is driver-centric, with many controls on the center console. Ours is a 2023 Corvette coupe in Torch Red, with an automatic gearbox.
