Chevrolet introduced the sixth-generation Camaro on May 16, 2015, for the 2016 model year, timed with the car's 50th birthday. It rides on GM's Alpha platform. It weighs 200 pounds less than its predecessor, and over 70 percent of its architectural components are unique to the Camaro. The one we have is a 2016 Camaro in Silver Ice Metallic, dressed in a 1LE-style look.
