The third-generation Dodge Ram was updated for 2006, adding the Mega Cab with 22 inches of extra cab room, seating for six with reclining rear seats, and a 6.25-foot bed. Trucks built after January 1, 2007 could be ordered with the new 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel in 2500 and 3500 models, replacing the 5.9.
