The 996 was the first 911 with a water-cooled engine, on the first all-new chassis since the original car. Its development was shared with the Boxster, and the two share the front suspension and many interior parts. Early 996s wear fried egg headlamps, named for their amber turn signals, until the 2002 redesign. This example is a 2001 911 in Guards Red, sun-faded into a junkyard retro look. The interior is very clean. It runs well, with an automatic gearbox.
