The LS400 grew out of Toyota's secret F1 project, started in August 1983 to build a world-class luxury sedan. It used no existing Toyota platform or parts. Development ran through about 450 prototypes and 2.7 million kilometers of testing. This particular example is a 1991 LS400 lifted for a post-apocalyptic look, in Jade Black Pearl over a tan interior.
