The eighth-generation F-Series arrived for 1987 as a major revision of the previous truck. It gained a new front fascia with composite headlights, the first on a full-size American truck. For 1987 the 4.9-liter inline-six also switched to fuel injection. The one we have is a 1987 F-150 in brown over a brown interior, with a manual gearbox.
