The Celica name comes from the Latin coelica, meaning heavenly or celestial. Toyota coined the term liftback for the Celica's fastback hatchback in 1973. The third generation was facelifted for the 1984 model year, offered in ST, GT and GT-S trims. This example is a 1984 GT-S liftback swapped to a Lexus 1UZ V8 with a manual gearbox. Finished in two-tone silver and navy blue over a light navy blue interior.
