The 308 replaced the Dino 246 GT and GTS in 1975 as a mid-engine V8 two-seater, with a tube frame and separate body. In 1980 Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection arrived and the name changed to 308 GTBi and GTSi. Ferrari built 1,743 GTSis before the Quattrovalvole took over in 1982.
