Porsche introduced the 911 SC in 1978, reviving the SC name last used on the 356. Its 3.0-liter aluminum flat-six, with Bosch K-Jetronic injection, was chosen over magnesium for case reliability. It drives through the five-speed 915 gearbox. Ours is a 1980 911 SC coupe in Copper Brown Metallic, with a manual gearbox. It looks very stock apart from wider tires front and rear. Underneath it is race-ready, with upgraded suspension and an engine rebuilt to make more power than stock.
