The second-generation Firebird ran from 1970 to 1981, offered as a coupe only. For 1980, tightening emissions rules led Pontiac to drop all of its large-displacement engines. No manual gearbox was offered that year, so every 1980 Firebird left the factory with the three-speed Turbo Hydramatic automatic. The one we have is a 1980 Trans Am in satin black over a black interior.
