The E21 was the first 3 Series, built from 1975 to 1983 to replace the 02 Series. It came only as a sporty two-door, apart from Baur convertibles. Six-cylinder cars are recognizable by their quad round headlights. The 1979 facelift swapped the dashboard's slider climate controls for rotary knobs. This example is a 1979 E21 coupe set up as a street-legal track car, with a fully built motor and a manual gearbox.
