The Fiat Dino takes its name from the Ferrari Dino V6, which Fiat built to reach the production numbers needed. The Dino 2400 premiered in October 1969 with independent coil-spring rear suspension and a cast-iron 2.4-liter V6 of 178 horsepower, the same engine as the Dino 246 GT.
