The De Ville name comes from the French de ville, meaning "of the town." GM redesigned the De Ville for 1971, with hidden windshield wipers and pairs of squared-off headlamps set wider apart. For 1972 a frontal revision put more emphasis on horizontal grille blades. This one is finished in black over a black interior, with an automatic gearbox. Showing 55,000 miles, it has always been stored in a garage.
