Chevrolet introduced the Monte Carlo for 1970 as its version of the Pontiac Grand Prix, on the unique A-Special platform with an unusually long hood. The 1970 car came only as a two-door hardtop, with a chromed rectangular grille in a fine grid pattern and a stand-up hood ornament. Ours is a 1970 Chevrolet Monte Carlo in metallic purple, set up as a lowrider with hydraulics.
