The 1965 Galaxie was an all-new design with vertically stacked dual headlights, taller and bulkier than before. A new 240 six replaced the old 223, and a three-link coil-spring rear replaced the leaf springs. The higher-content Galaxie 500 LTD arrived as the flagship.
