The 1961 Continental arrived as a four-door sedan and four-door convertible, the first US car sold with a two-year, 24,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. For 1963 it got reshaped front seatbacks for rear legroom, a reshaped trunklid and an alternator in place of the generator.
