The Corvair was Chevrolet's rear-engined, air-cooled compact, built for the 1960 to 1969 model years. Its horizontally opposed six used many aluminum parts, unusual for Detroit at the time. The first generation of 1960 to 1964 was offered as a sedan, coupe, convertible and wagon. This one is a 1963 Corvair Monza coupe with a manual gearbox.
