The Ponton nickname comes from the German word for pontoon. It refers to styling that merged the hood, body, fenders and running boards into one slab-sided envelope. Mercedes itself never used the nickname. The 190b belongs to the W121 four-cylinder sedans built from 1956 to 1961. This one is a 1961 190b in sky grey over a white and red interior.
