After World War II, the Spartan Aircraft Company turned from building aircraft to building trailers. Its first all-metal travel trailer used the same internally braced, space-saving monocoque design as the Spartan Executive airplane. Spartan built trailer homes until production ended in 1961. This example is a 1953 Spartan Spartanette Tandem 131 in silver over a red and brown interior.
