The Mercedes-Benz SSK was built from 1928 to 1932, its name short for Super Sport Kurz, or short. It was a short-wheelbase development of the Modell S, and the last car Ferdinand Porsche designed for Mercedes-Benz. Its supercharged straight-six engaged the blower when the throttle was pushed past the floor. Ours is a replica built in the style of the 1929 SSK, with a manual gearbox.
